Job Description:
Our team is looking for an experienced construction superintendent in exterior restoration projects. Having an experience in roof replacement and masonry restoration using suspended scaffolds is a plus. Superintendent responsibilities will include allocating and monitoring progress and ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time. Collaborate with construction managers and subcontractors to define project needs and oversee staff performance. Monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. Follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects, and engineers. To succeed, it is important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite. Applicant must:
- Be familiar with DOB protocols, general site safety requirements, and OSHA rules and regulations
- Construction Superintendent with 5+ years’ experience in building construction.
- Applicant must possess all certifications required to be a NYCDOB Site Supervisor, including 62hr SST card.
- Be able to multitask and deal with site specific conditions
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong interpersonal abilities
- Be able to coordinate multiple trades in a compressed and accelerated schedule
- Be able to troubleshoot site conditions and confirm layouts
- Be competent with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Be able to work well with agency representatives and communicate efficiently with subcontractors
- Be familiar with NYC public works agencies, their policies, and practices
