Carleton Manor
Located in the Rockaways, this public housing complex of 65,000 square feet underwent a complete façade restoration in 2016. Our work encompassed 100% face brick replacement and all associated anchoring and repairs to back up wall surfaces. To preserve the look of the original façade, ROMA was tasked with matching the original brick of the 50-year-old building. After a rigorous research and selection process, ROMA’s crew restored Carlton Manor to its original distinguished condition.
Unstable façade conditions posed great challenges from the very beginning. Access to work areas was made possible by almost 105,000 square feet of a supported scaffold system installed by ROMA’s skilled crew. Furthermore, prior to the start of demolition, we protected workers by securing the entire façade using helifix pins.
